DELIVERIES

Orders with a value of £40.00 or more will be delivered free of charge. Orders under £40.00 will have a £5.00 postage and packing charge added. We aim to deliver by the next working day once payment has cleared; this means your order will be sent via first class recorded delivery, special delivery or courier. The shipping method depends on the nature of the order.

DELIVERY DESTINATION

At the moment we only ship to UK addresses and the above delivery charges apply to most parts of mainland UK. Deliveries to Northern Ireland or the Scottish highlands may attract additional delivery charges, depending on the nature of the order. Therefore you will need to contact us before placing an order for delivery to either of those locations. As previously stated we aim to deliver by the next working day, please be aware that delivery to these locations, may take longer.

ONLINE BANKING PAYMENTS

People who use internet banking can make a bill payment over the internet; this is one of the most convenient ways to pay. If it’s done through HSBC or First Direct, payment is usually instant. Payments made from other banks can take up to three working days to reach us. First simply type and e-mail your order to: sales@electrotec-alarms.co.uk along with your name, delivery address, phone number and the words "net payment". Shortly after we will e-mail confirmation of your order along with payment instructions. If we then receive your payment in our account before 12.00 noon your goods will be despatched that same day, with the exception of weekends and bank holidays.

PHONE BANKING PAYMENTS

People who use telephone banking can make a bill payment over the telephone. As above If it’s done through HSBC or First Direct payment is usually instant, payments from other banks can take up to three working days. First simply type and e-mail your order to: sales@electrotec-alarms.co.uk along with your name, delivery address, phone number and the words "phone payment". Shortly after we will e-mail confirmation of your order along with payment instructions. CASH PAYMENTS

Cash payments can be paid directly into any HSBC bank. As above simply type and e-mail your order to: sales@electrotec-alarms.co.uk along with your name, delivery address, phone number and the words "cash payment". Shortly after we will e-mail confirmation of your order along payment instructions. If your payment is then received in our account by 12.00 noon goods are despatched that same day, with the exception of weekends and bank holidays.

CHEQUE PAYMENTS

If you wish to pay by cheque print out our online order form and fill it in with pen. Make your cheque payable to Electrotec and send it with your completed order form to the address on the form. Once we receive your cheque with order, you will be emailed an order confirmation and an expected delivery date. We may allow up to six working days for your cheque to clear, before despatching your order. Once your order has been despatched, we will email you with an order despatch confirmation. If you do not wish to fill in an order form, you can just e-mail your order to: sales@electrotec-alarms.co.uk and post your cheque separately. If e-mailing your order type your name, delivery address, phone number and the words "cheque payment". Once we receive your order we will e-mail to confirm receipt. We will also e-mail you again when your cheque is received.

DEBIT / CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

At the moment we do not accept any type of card payment. We are however planning to add these facilities some time in the future.

PRIVACY POLICY

Your contact details will be held by us so that we can supply your orders. We will contact you by email to keep you informed of order progress or give advice on products. On occasion we may email with details of special offers, if you prefer not to be emailed details of special offers, just let us know. For orders being delivered by courier, we will give the courier your phone number. Drivers may on occasion have difficulty finding an address, especially on new developments; therefore they may call you for directions. We only pass details to other companies for the purpose of delivery. We never pass contact details to other companies, organisations or individuals for the purposes of marketing. Apart from delivery services, only employees of Electrotec will have access to your contact details, we respect your privacy.

RETURNS POLICY

If any item is found to be defective, please return it along with a description of the fault. We will refund the cost of returning the item when we send a replacement, the level of refund would be equal to the normal cost to us, for sending that item in the first place. Make sure any items you return are packaged properly, as a replacement will not be given if damage occurs due to poor or inappropriate packaging. Also replacements will not be given, if damage has occurred because of poor or inappropriate installation.

If you are not totally satisfied with your purchase, for reasons other than a fault, you can still return the goods within 14 days, if they have not been used or installed in any way. In this case a refund for the goods would be given but please note we make a small handling charge of 10% when issuing a refund and we do not refund the cost of return carriage when goods are returned without fault.

LIABILITY

People carrying out do it yourself (DIY), do so entirely at their own risk. Electrotec, its proprietor’s directors and employees accept no responsibility for your actions, even if you are following advice given by any of the above, on any matter. This applies what ever form advice may take, for example verbal or written. It also applies if advice or information is derived from our web site or any other material which we may distribute, including our alarm installation guide. We will not be held responsible or accountable for any accidents or losses consequential or otherwise while using materials, components, information or advice supplied by any of the above mentioned.

VARIANCE OF TERMS

Electrotec reserves the right to vary or add to these terms and conditions at anytime.

LAW

This is a UK based business and as such we are governed by UK law. We do not export goods outside the UK and we only accept payment in pounds sterling. To the best of our knowledge this web site is free from any virus and is therefore safe to use, however for legal reasons we can not guarantee this.
